Short bio of the person being portrayed

Oleg is 54 and has worked as a veterinarian at the Chapayev Collective Farm for 30 years.

He was born in the village of Kesma and never imagined becoming a veterinarian as a child. While he was still at school, the principal encouraged him to apply to the K. I. Skryabin Moscow State Academy of Veterinary Medicine through a special admissions quota.

After graduating, Oleg returned to his home region and began working as a veterinarian at the collective farm.

His workday starts at 7:30 a.m. and continues until evening. Before the herd is driven out to pasture, he examines the animals. Throughout the day, he provides treatment and care, and the cycle begins again after the evening milking.

His wife and son live with him, while his daughter has moved to the city. Oleg also keeps a small farmstead of his own, where he raises a young bull named Yashka and keeps several chickens.

Outline of the project

This project is an attempt to look at ordinary life without seeking out drama or anything extraordinary.

Oleg has worked as a veterinarian in the village of Chamerovo (Russia) his entire life. He has never seen the sea. I met him by chance and spent a few days documenting his daily life and work. The value here lies not in extraordinary events, but in the life of an individual.
